The Kansas City Chiefsre-signed Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency but need to add more receiving talent through the 2025 NFL draft. Arkansas Razorbacks wide receiver Andrew Armstrong led the SEC in 2024 with 78 receptions for 1,140 yards and provides a reasonable late round selection.
Armstrong began his college career at East Texas A&M before transferring to Arkansas in 2023. His well-built 6'3 3/4", 202 lb. frame also offers impressive 32 1/8" arms. He checks all of the NFL’s desired size boxes.
Armstrong is a smooth mover with good flexibility in his ankles. He uses hesitation moves to freeze cornerbacks and quick footwork and sharp turns to generate separation at the short and intermediate levels. Armstrong also initiates contact at the top of the stem to drive off cornerbacks and separate with physicality.
Andrew Armstrong (bottom of screen) doesn't have a ton of hype in this WR class, but he's big—6'4" and 202 pounds—has strong hands, moves well for his size, and routinely finds space. https://t.co/TkqNGi4tV1pic.twitter.com/zvoLDMy2EB

Armstrong makes good adjustments to the football, especially when tracking it along the sideline on fade routes. He fails to maximize his arm length on a snap-to-snap basis. Armstrong sometimes defaults to catching the ball with his body and doesn’t dominate smaller players at the catch point.
Armstrong’s vision and physicality help him generate yards after the catch. He refuses to go down easy, often slipping through arm tackles, dragging defensive backs for extra yardage or finishing the play falling forward. Hip tightness prevents Armstrong from executing dynamic jukes and cuts. He’s not a twitchy or elusive athlete.
Armstrong needs to develop his release package to avoid taking on contact early in plays. He lacks the burst to threaten defenses vertically, which makes him an easy target for press corners. Armstrong struggles to create consistent separation against man coverage. He’s a possession receiver with the savvy and physicality to make a roster as a late Day 3 selection.
