The Vancouver Canucks will be without two of their top forwards for the remainder of their six-game road trip. Report: Canucks Thatcher Demko Could Return Monday Against The Devils
Losing Pettersson and Höglander is significant as they made up two-thirds of the Canucks top line. Vancouver is also missing Filip Chytil, meaning half their top-six will not play on Monday versus the New Jersey Devils. In place of Pettersson and Höglander, the Canucks did call up center Aatu Räty, who will be in the lineup on Monday.
As for another injury development, goaltender Thatcher Demko will be making his first start in over a month on Monday night. Demko has been out since February 8, when he was injured during the first period against the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 17 games this season, Demko has a 6-6-3 record, along with a save percentage of .891.
Vancouver travels to New Jersey on Monday to take on the Devils. This will be the third of a six-game road trip, which the Canucks have started 0-1-1. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 pm PT and can be viewed on Amazon Prime.
