Bobby Portis made a jumper Thursday in the Bucks game and ... caused a beer can to explode?

A beautiful step-back jumper from Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis turned messy in a hurry Thursday at Fiserv Forum.

Facing off with the New Orleans Pelicans in Milwaukee, Portis drained the shot in the second quarter, with his momentum carrying him just beyond the sideline after the shot. That's where he stepped on a canned beverage (we'll just assume it's beer — this is Milwaukee, after all!), causing a plume of liquid onto the court and all over fans in the front row.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis (9) helps wipes up a drink after he kicked it over during the first half of their game against the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Pelicans finished their subsequent possession, hitting a three-pointer, and referees blew the whistle as the Bucks returned down to their end of the floor so the liquid could be mopped up. Portis himself had to towel off as he shared an interaction with the fans in the front row.

The fan-favorite Portis was playing in his second game after a 25-game suspension. He finished with 14 points in the easy 136-111 win, the Bucks' sixth straight victory.

Milwaukee must defeat Detroit in one of their final two head-to-head games this season — Friday in Detroit and Sunday in Milwaukee — to secure the No. 5 seed in the NBA playoffs, a slot that would mean likely mean a first-round battle with the Indiana Pacers.
