St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington has been named the NHL's Third Star of the Month for March.

When noting how excellently Binnington played in March, he certainly earned this honor. The 31-year-old goaltender thrived during the month, posting an 8-2-0 record, a 2.21 goals-against average, and a .910 save percentage in 10 appearances for the Blues. This included winning each of his last five starts of the month.

Binnington has been a major reason for the Blues' success down the stretch, and he has now been rewarded for it by being named the league's Third Star of the Month. Following his outstanding March, the 2011 third-round pick now has a 25-21-4 record, a .901 save percentage, and a 2.70 goals-against average in 51 games this season.

With the Blues looking to cement themselves a playoff spot in the Western Conference, they will be hoping that Binnington can stay red-hot from here. He has been nothing but that since helping Team Canada win the 4 Nations Face-Off.
