We have our first black stripe alert of 2025 and it comes courtesy of second-year cornerback Miles Lockhart. The Ohio State defensive back was a four-star prospect in the 2024 class out of Chandler, Arizona, and was rated as the No. 31 cornerback in the nation according to 247Sports composite ratings.
Lockhart would redshirt his freshman year with the Buckeyes and did not see any playing time in his first year. With plenty of depth in the secondary, Lockhart will be facing an uphill battle to find the field again in year two. Ohio State has some of the best corners in the nation chomping at the bit for their turn. Davison Igbinoson will have one side of the field locked down, while Jermaine Matthews Jr should lead the way on the other side. Guys like Aaron Scott, Bryce West, and five-star freshman Devin Sanchez will be vying for playing time behind them. Lockhart will most likely be in a battle for playing time with redshirt senior Lorenzo Styles Jr. for the slot corner position.

Even though Lockhart is from Arizona, his passion for the Buckeyes is evident. Need proof? Look no further than the melee that took place after the loss to TTUN last year and you'll see Miles Lockhart ripping away the flag that Michigan players are trying to plant at midfield of Ohio Stadium. Lockhart may be an Arizonian by birth, but he clearly bleeds Scarlet and Gray. Welcome to the Brotherhood.
