Bella Hines and ABC Prep basketball headed to Grind Session Women’s World Championship Tournament
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – As her high school career heads down the final stretch, ABC Prep basketball star Bella Hines is hoping she and the rest of her teammates can win it all at the Grind Session Women’s World Championship March 21-23. The LSU bound guard has enjoyed a prolific career on the prep scene and would love to close it out as a champion. “I feel really good,” said Hines. “I mean, like, we’ve worked really hard this season. We had a little bit of a struggle at the beginning, but honestly, I believe our slow start helped us grow into the team that we are now. So, I’m just really proud of my team for how far we have come. I think we can make a deep run in the playoffs.”
Her teammate Tamiah Gary agrees with Hines. “We’re the underdogs,” said Gary. “So, people not believing in us and just coming out and proving everyone wrong is what we’re trying to do here.”
ABC Prep will play Hamilton Heights on Friday at noon. The winner of that game will meet top-ranked DME in the quarterfinals on the same night. The games will be played at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas.
