Behold. Ohio State football trophy room has new CFP title addition to it.
To the victor go the spoils. And when we're talking about sporting events, and ultimately championships, those spoils include some pretty sizeable hardware.
Why are we bringing this up? It's simple. According to folks around town and some media members who have been stomping around the Woody Hayes Athletic Center during the opening couple days of Ohio State football's start to spring practice, there's been a noticeable addition to the trophy room.
That addition is none other than the College Football Playoff national championship trophy the Buckeyes took home after a historic run through the first-ever 12-team CFP that included wins over four straight top ten opponents including, Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame. There will be more similar ones as this new model continues, but only OSU will be able to say that it was the first to do it, much like winning the inaugural College Football Playoff back in 2014.
But don't take our word for it, instead take a look at what WBNS 10TV's Adam King shared on social media and feel free to beat your chest a little. You know the opposition would, so have at it and share the photo with your favorite Michigan fan.

We love what they've done with the place, and it's scary to think about how many more trophies could have been in this room had things broken just a little differently over the last couple of decades. Who knows, maybe, just maybe, we won't have to wait another ten years for another large trinket to find its way inside the Woody.
