Barcelona likely to remain unchanged from Dortmund win for decisive Leganes clash – report

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is leaning towards naming an unchanged starting XI for the upcoming La Liga clash against Leganes — the same lineup that emphatically defeated Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

This is because the match against Leganes could prove to be crucial in the title race, and Flick seems determined not to take any risks.

Despite the temptation to rotate the squad with the second leg against Dortmund just around the corner, Flick is expected to go full strength against Leganes.

The decision is influenced by the fact that Leganes have already beaten Barcelona earlier in the season — a defeat that remains fresh in the minds of both players and fans.

With the La Liga title still hanging in the balance, Flick knows that dropping points at this stage could prove costly.

It is said that rather than gamble with a heavily rotated side, the German coach is planning to keep faith in the players who delivered a commanding display at Montjuic.

He may make one or two minor changes, but the core of the team is likely to remain intact.

Flick is confident that his side can maintain their intensity, and any rotation he plans may be reserved for the return leg in Germany, depending on the demands of that fixture.

Gavi or Fermin Lopez – One key decision left

The only real dilemma facing Flick ahead of the Leganes match is who to start between Gavi and Fermin Lopez.

Both midfielders offer energy and creativity, and choosing one over the other will depend on the tactical demands of the game.

Apart from that, the rest of the team is expected to be unchanged as Flick looks to build momentum and secure a key league win before returning to Champions League duties.
