Alabama announces weekend rotation for SEC opening series at Texas A&M
Set to begin SEC play this weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide have officially announced their weekend rotation for their upcoming three-game series against the Texas A&M Aggies.
Starting on Friday night in College Station, Alabama will be sending left-hander Zane Adams to the mound, who will be opposed by a fellow southpaw in Texas A&M ace Ryan Prager. Adams' owns a 3.44 ERA across 18.1 innings so far this season, while Prager, a third round pick from the 2024 MLB draft who decided to return to Texas A&M, owns a 0.39 ERA over 23.1 innings, and is holding opponents to a combined .138 AVG.
Saturday, Alabama will send right-hander Riley Quick to the mound, who boasts a 1.76 ERA across 15.1 innings so far this season. Opposing the right-hander for Texas A&M is southpaw Justin Lamkin, who has impressed this season in which he owns a 2.28 ERA with a 33:5 K:BB ratio across 23.2 innings.
Lastly, on Sunday, Alabama will send right-hander Bobby Alcock to the mound, who owns a 5.54 ERA with a 17:3 K:BB ratio across 13 innings this season. Texas A&M will send yet another left-hander, Myles Patton, to the mound for the series finale, who owns a 2.28 ERA with a 27:3 K:BB ratio across 23.2 innings.
Game 1 of the Alabama vs. Texas A&M series is set to begin Friday night, March 14, at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network+, while Game 2 will also be streamed on SEC Network+ on Saturday, March 15 at 3 p.m. ET. Sunday, Game 3 will be broadcast live on SEC Network, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. ET.
