5-star QB Jared Curtis is ready to commit
Five-star quarterback recruit Jared Curtis is ready to make his college commitment. Curtis plans to announce his commitment on May 5.
"Blessed!!" said Curtis via social media after locking in his commitment date. Curtis will decide between the Georgia Bulldogs and Oregon Ducks.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback plays football for Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. The 247Sports composite ranks Curtis as the No. 2 recruit in the country, the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 1 prospect in Tennessee in the class of 2026.
Curtis has a good combination of athleticism and arm talent. The Nashville Christian standout was committed to Georgia from March 2024 to October 2024. Georgia is hoping he'll commit to UGA again in May.
Georgia faces a significant challenge from Oregon and former UGA assistant coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks have been among the nation's best recruiting programs in recent seasons and have an abundant amount of name, image and likeness funds.
Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have not signed a five-star quarterback since adding Justin Fields in class of 2018. Fields transferred to Ohio State after his freshman season.
