Juszczyk reportedly took less money to go back to San Francisco, where he's played the last eight seasons, than what he had been offered by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Juszczyk's wife, Kristin, posted a message on Instagram expressing the couple's happiness with staying in the Bay Area.
"This past week has really made Kyle and I reflect on our past 8 years in the Bay. We grew up here. We turned friends into family here. We won championships here and we lost championships here. We feel so incredibly blessed to have called the bay home for the past 8 years. It’s truly been the best years of our lives. Kyle’s curtain isn’t closed just yet and we couldn’t be more happy and emotional to stay home!!! ❤️ We’re forever Faithful"
Last offseason, 49ers general manager John Lynch approached Juszczyk to take a pay cut. He agreed to restructure his deal which created $4 million in salary cap space for the 2024 season. Afterward, Juszczyk said "it hurt" when he was asked to take less money but his love for the team and area helped him decide to stay.
A nine-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, Juszczyk has six rushing touchdowns and 18 receiving touchdowns in his career. He was a fourth-round draft pick in 2013 out of Harvard by the Baltimore Ravens.
