The PWHL's first ever Breakthrough Cup took place this weekend in Blaine, Minnesota. Looking around the arena, members of 36 teams participated in the event with dreams of someday breaking through to become members of the PWHL.

Minnesota Frost players Natalie Buchbinder, Maggie Flaherty, and Mellissa Channell-Watkins were on hand to sign autographs and participate in the festivities that saw players from across North America attending from Ontario, Manitoba, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York and more.

Other Frost players including Abby Boreen and Maddie Rooney were also on hand to hand out championship medals. Both Boreen and Rooney grew up playing in Blaine.

The weekend focused on building connections, friendship, and  opportunities for players to play fun hockey with players from across North America.
