Mansfield's Louis Reed thought he had scored one of the goals of the season on Tuesday night against Charlton.
Midway through the first half, with the Stags trailing 1-0, it seemed like Reed had pulled his side level with a brilliant first-time strike into the bottom corner.
However, the Field Mill celebrations were cut short after closer inspection showed the ball had actually flown past the post and rebounded of the stanchion, leaving fans and players bemused.
