Watch live: Vance takes closing message to voters in North Carolina
Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), former President Trump's running mate, is giving his closing arguments to North Carolina voters on Friday.
His comments are expected to focus on immigration and rising prices under the Biden administration, according to the campaign.
The visit also comes a day before early voting ends in the key swing state. Nearly half of the state's registered voters had already cast their ballots as of Thursday afternoon.
With Election Day less than a week away, The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling index shows Trump leading Vice President Harris by 1.4 points in the Tar Heel State — 49.1 percent to 47.7 percent. In 2020, the former president won the state over President Biden by a razor-thin margin.
The event in Selma, N.C., is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. EDT.
