Watch live: House Democratic Party leadership hold hearing on Project 2025
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and other top Democrats are convening a hearing Tuesday to voice shared concerns about the conservative policy agenda known as Project 2025.
Democrats have characterized the platform as an extension of the views of former President Trump, although he has disavowed any direct connection with the agenda.
Nonetheless, opponents of the former president are concerned that the as-yet secret fourth pillar of the project may offer a blueprint for the GOP presidential nominee to consolidate personal power beyond the accountability of checks and balances.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. EDT.
