Watch: Harris gives remarks after Trump secures election win
Vice President Harris gave remarks Wednesday afternoon, her first speech after President-elect Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 election.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ projected Trump as the winner after calling Pennsylvania and Alaska for him early on Wednesday, bringing him to exactly 270 electoral votes.
Harris did not speak as the race calls were coming in — and did not attend a scheduled election party at Howard University, where many supporters were gathered. She was expected to concede the election to Trump during her speech Wednesday.
