Trump says he’ll celebrate COVID-era Super Bowl win with Kansas City Chiefs at White House

President Trump said he plans to celebrate a COVIV-19 era Super Bowl win with the Kansas City Chiefs at the White House.
“I look forward to having the Eagles. And one other thing, we’re going to have the Kansas City Chiefs after that, because they missed their turn because of Covid,” Trump told Outkick founder Clay Travis aboard Air Force One on Sunday.
The Chiefs lost to the Eagles in February's Super Bowl, but won the title in February 2020, the last year of Trump's first term. There was no White House visit that year after most of the United States was locked down because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It was the first of three Super Bowl wins in five years for the Chiefs, who are led by quarterback Pat Mahomes, head coach Andy Reid and tight end Travis Kelce, the romantic partner of pop star Taylor Swift.
Trump had predicted a Chiefs victory at this year's Super Bowl, which he attended.
The fact that the Eagles are set to visit the White House is significant because that team didn’t make a White House trip after their 2018 win, as the president criticized NFL players who kneeled during the national anthem.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the team would be visiting the White House on April 28 to celebrate their victory.
