Tennessee House Dem predicts ‘there may be blood’ if Harris wins
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) predicts that if Vice President Harris wins the presidential election, “there may be blood.”
Cohen joined NewsNation’s Dan Abrams on Thursday evening when he shared that he’s worried about the aftermath of the election if Harris wins, which he thinks she will.
“I think Kamala’s gonna win the popular vote by 5, 6 million votes at least.
I think she gets the electoral vote, but I think Trump won’t stop at anything. It will be in court; it will be in litigation. He’ll be telling people, again, to go to the Capitol if you want to have a country and fight like hell,” Cohen said.
“There may be blood, and there’s some concern,” he continued.
Harris and former President Trump are set to go head-to-head in a matter of days in the general election.
National polling, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, shows Harris with a 0.7 percent lead over Trump.
The vice president has seen a slump in recent weeks after riding high receiving President Biden’s endorsement, becoming the Democratic Party’s official nominee, and performing well against Trump in the debate.
Harris gathered thousands of people in Washington for one of her final rally speeches. It was held at the Ellipse, where Trump spoke on Jan. 6, 2021, before his supporters attacked the Capitol. She tried to emphasize a key campaign message: that if he loses in the next few days, he will try to do it again.
She then headed west to campaign in Arizona and Nevada, two critical battleground states.
Trump also went west to campaign. He spent Thursday in New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona to gather last-minute support in the states that went to Biden in 2020.
