Stevie Wonder says he doesn't follow politics now: 'I follow the truth'
Just months after speaking at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), Stevie Wonder is expressing frustration with what's going on in Washington and says he doesn't "follow politics anymore."
The legendary "Superstition" singer — who embarked on a national concert tour dubbed "Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation's Broken Heart" ahead of Election Day last year — said that he's tuning out political talk in a video posted by TMZ on Wednesday.
"Guess what? I don't follow politics anymore," the 74-year-old performer said when asked about his reaction to President Trump's inauguration on Monday falling on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
"It's too much bulls---," Wonder continued.
"I follow the truth," he said.
Wonder delivered remarks at the DNC in Chicago in August, telling the crowd, “Now is the moment to understand where we are and what it will take to win: win the broken hearts, win the disenchanted, win the angry spirits — now is the time."
“We must choose courage over complacency,” Wonder said at the time.
