Honda recalling almost 300K vehicles over engine concerns
Honda recalled 295,000 vehicles, including Acura models, on Wednesday, citing engine concerns.
The company said Honda and Acura vehicle owners need to update the fuel injection electronic control unit, or FI-ECU, software. If not fixed, the issue could cause the check engine light to illuminate and cause the engine to lose drive power, hesitate or stall.
Honda will update all impacted vehicles free of charge, and it vowed to contact owners in March via mail.
The recall includes the following models: 2023-2025 Honda Pilot, 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type S and 2021-2025 Acura TLX Type S.
At this time, American Honda said it has not received any confirmed reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue.
