Harris wins New Jersey
Vice President Harris will win New Jersey, giving her the Garden State’s 14 electoral votes, Decision Desk HQ projects.
New Jersey is a solidly blue-leaning state that Harris was expected to carry easily, as it has not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988. Democratic candidates have also consistently won it by double-digit margins since 2008.
Polling briefly showed the race tighter than normal while President Biden was still in the race, but with Harris replacing him, most analysts rated the state as likely or solidly Democratic.
