Marisa Abela was 21 and in her final year of drama school when the script for Industry came her way. At the time, she didn’t realise quite how lucky she was to be auditioning for the role of Yasmin Kara-Hanani, the polyglot publishing heiress trying to make it in the finance world, she says.
“I didn’t know how much of a success it was going to be – but I knew the writing was great. I really put everything into that audition.” She even dressed up in what she imagined was office-appropriate attire.
