Where To Find All Kabukimono Locations In Assassin's Creed Shadows

Are you looking for the Assassin's Creed Shadows Kabukimono members? These ronin--samurai without masters--have been terrorizing the hapless villagers in the Izumi Settsu and Harima regions. Now, it's up to you to stop them. Our guide has all the details you need to complete this lengthy side quest.

Where to find all members of the Kabukimono in Assassin's Creed Shadows

The Kabukimono side quest if you keep heading west past Osaka. Eventually, you'll come across Amagasaki and, beyond that, there's a landmark called Nishinomiya Shrine. A man named Shin'nyo will then approach you to tell you about the misdeeds of the Kabukimono.

If you want to complete the Assassin's Creed Shadows Kabukimono side quest, then you need to be ready to spend a few hours exploring Izumi Settsu and Harima. That's because there are eight targets in total. Moreover, their exact locations aren't readily shown. Instead, you're only given hints as to the general vicinity. You can either use your scouts to scan areas, or you can check our handy map below.

Map: The first five Kabukimono targets

When you start the Assassin's Creed Shadows Kabukimono quest, only five targets will be shown on the objectives board. As you can see on the map, we can take out the first target, Big Sueki, as he's closest to Nishinomiya Shrine. We then move east and south toward Osaka and Sakai to eliminate the rest.
Note: When you reach these locations, press and hold the aim button and check your surroundings. Look for a glowing blue dot that shows the exact position of your quest target.

Kabukimono target #1: Big Sueki

Location: Big Sueki is in the backyard of a tavern in Muko Post Town. It's just north of Amagasaki. Watch out because four other Ronin surround him.
Reward: Tactless Parley (rare katana) and Damage with Affliction (rare engraving).

Kabukimono target #2: Ember

Location: You'll find Ember in the Burnt Village of Nakajima, which is along the western coastline from Osaka.
Reward: Spark of Ember (rare teppo) and Armor Piercing on Consecutive Hits (rare engraving).

Kabukimono target #3: Grave Dancer

Location: Keep heading south of Osaka until you come across a river. Just past that is Sumiyoshi Shrine. Grave Dancer is roaming around this shrine, and he's protected by a bodyguard.
Reward: Widower's Solace (rare katana) and Buildup on Consecutive Kills (rare engraving).

Kabukimono target #4: Ghost General

Location: The hint for this Kabukimono in Assassin's Creed Shadows notes that he's disrupting shipments along the shores. It just so happens that the Port of Sakai is fairly close to the south. Check out the pier and finish him off.
Reward: Kabukimono's Greed (rare katana) and Adrenaline on Multiple Enemies (rare engraving).

Kabukimono target #5: Chief Cuckoo

Location: Chief Cuckoo is actually in Katano Oil Trading, a small restricted area near the Katano fast travel point.
Reward: Prancing Naginata (rare naginata) and Damage After Dodge (rare engraving).

Decision: Should you hunt the leaders one by one or should you gather them together?

After eliminating the first five Kabukimono targets, you'll learn that they're trying to recruit more ronin to their cause. You're then directed back to Nishinomiya Shrine where you have to place a letter. Simply return to Nishinomiya Shrine's entrance and you should see a post that you can interact with.
Now, here comes a major decision: What exactly do you do next? Do you want to hunt the Assassin's Creed Shadows Kabukimono one by one? Or is it better to gather them together?
It really boils down to your preferred style of combat. Hunting them one by one means that they're all by their lonesome in specific locations. But gathering them together saves you a lot of time since you can take them all out in one go.
In our playthrough, we fought all three, as well as a few of their minions, simultaneously. Since we were playing as Naoe instead of Yasuke, we just used the environment to our advantage. We hid in bushes and atop towers, and we assassinated our foes whenever we had the opportunity.

In any case, the map above shows you the locations of the remaining three Kabukimono targets. If you tackle them while they're alone, then they're in separate areas of Harima region. If you face all of them at the same time, then they'll be in a lumber yard south of Takagi Otsuka Fort.

Kabukimono targets #6, 7, and 8: Corrupt Blade, Laughing Man, and Peacock

Here are the rewards that you can receive from your opponents:
Corrupt Blade: Kabuki Corruptor (rare katana) and Ration on Kill (rare engraving).
Laughing Man: Flight of the Ubagabi (legendary trinket) and Adrenaline Gain for Kusarigama Mastery (legendary engraving).
Peacock: The Sleight of Hand (rare bow) and Buildup with Backstab (rare engraving).
