Phasmophobia Developers Don't Plan To Add Ghostbusters Or Other IP To The Game
Now that it's out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the developers behind Phasmophobia have spoken about what's next for the co-op ghost-hunting game. One thing you can expect not to see is a crossover with famous IP like Ghostbusters, as the developers currently don't have plans to add licensed content.
"I think it's something we’ve seen from the community, whether you look at the Discord, at the Reddit, at the socials, people are talking about it, asking for that kind of stuff,” Phasmophobia marketing manager Asim Tanvir said to VideoGamer. "Again, it's about the demand from the playerbase, the community, for that, and it's about whether it falls in line with our vision for the game as well. We don’t want to put--for example--the actual Ghostbusters in the game. It just wouldn’t make sense. That's not the tonal shift we want from our game, right?"
