How to get more Knowledge Points in Assassin's Creed Shadows
Knowledge Points come from landmarks and locations that you can visit while exploring the lands of feudal Japan:
- Temple
- Shrine
- Kuji-Kiri
- Kata
- Horse Archery
- Kofun
- Hidden Trail
Take note that there are some activities that can only be completed by either Yasuke or Naoe, though they both share all Knowledge Points that are earned. Moreover, once you have enough Knowledge Points, you'll see that it's possible to unlock higher-tier skills and abilities in the Mastery menu.

Knowledge Points from Temples
The goal is to find up to three lost pages that are scattered around the area. It's a good idea to keep the aim button held down, since the white dots that appear on your screen usually indicate the location of lost pages.
Knowledge Points from Shrines
Getting Assassin's Creed Shadows Knowledge Points from shrines is fairly straightforward. Just pray to one or more shrine in the general area to complete the task.
Knowledge Points from Kofuns
Kofuns are dark tombs or crypts that hide treasure deep underground. The goal is to make your way through chambers and caverns, before opening a legendary chest. You not only receive a legendary gear piece, but also an extra Knowledge Point.
Knowledge Points from Hidden Trails
Think of a Hidden Trail as an obstacle/parkouring course of sorts. The correct path is lit or marked by yellowish color--i.e. lanterns, flags, and even paint on stones and walls. You have to use traversal tools to aid you, such as swinging across gaps with the grappling hook.
Knowledge Points from Horse Archery
You get additional Knowledge Points in Assassin's Creed Shadows by completing Horse Archery challenges as Yasuke. You don't even need to worry about controlling the horse, as they move automatically on their own. As such, you should only focus on hitting the targets, akin to an on-rails shooter.
Knowledge Points from Katas
A kata is akin to a rhythm minigame. You have to press all the buttons that appear in sequence, completing multiple sets to earn your reward. Sometimes, a long press is also needed, as opposed to a tap.
Knowledge Points from Kuji-Kiris
A kuji-kiri is also a rhythm minigame where the goal is to press the buttons that appear on your screen. It's also possible for the screen to turn white or for the button prompts to disappear, so you just have to get used to the pattern/rhythm. This also causes Naoe to relive moments from her past.
