How To Get All Endings In Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade takes you on an unforgettable journey as you try to discover the true nature of Eve's mission, as well as the machinations of entities more powerful than her. Along the way, you also meet new friends and foes. All of this culminates in a finale with several possibilities. Here's our guide on how to get all endings in Stellar Blade. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains major spoilers.
How to get all endings in Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade has three endings that you can obtain. These are:
- Return to the Colony
- Cost of Lost Memories
- Making New Memories
If you want to unlock all endings in Stellar Blade, you must first be made aware of some hard prerequisites. Specifically, there are three points of no return that you need to be mindful of.
Ending requirements
The three endings in the game follow the events that transpire in the Nest, where you need to make a fateful decision upon encountering Adam. He asks you to take his hand, joining together to create a fusion of two beings and, in doing so, becoming humanity's last hope. However, your discoveries, which also affect Lily, play a key role in several outcomes.
Cost of Lost Memories ending
- Your progress/tally with Lily must be below 100 percent before heading to Spire 4 (more on this in the section below regarding Eidos 9).
- Take Adam's hand in the Nest.
- Defeat the boss.
Making New Memories ending
- Your progress/tally with Lily must be at 100 percent before heading to Spire 4. This unlocks the Eidos 9 region.
- Take Adam's hand in the Nest.
- Defeat the boss.
- We don't want to spoil all the details, but the scenes are quite different from those in the Cost of Lost Memories ending. Moreover, there's a post-credits scene. In short, Making New Memories is the best ending in Stellar Blade.
Return to the Colony ending
- Do not take Adam's hand in the Nest.
- Defeat the boss.
- You will always get the Return to Colony ending if you don't take Adam's hand. Your progress with Lily is irrelevant here.
Point of no return: Lily's progress, Eidos 9, and Spire 4 (Orbit Elevator)
Trying to get all endings in Stellar Blade means that you should consider the points of no return. The first happens after you complete the Great Desert - Abyss Levoire objective. Adam will ask if you're ready to go to the Orbit Elevator. Before you choose this option, you must remember two key factors:
- What's the status of your progress with Lily?
- Have you already done everything in Xion?
Whenever you pick up data slates or documents, a progress bar will appear in the upper-right corner. This represents the amount of discoveries Lily has made while she's on a journey with you.
- If your progress with Lily is below 100 percent when you go to the Orbit Elevator:
- The Tetrapod will fly to that location immediately.
- Choosing to take Adam's hand later in the Nest leads to the Cost of Lost Memories ending.
- If your progress with Lily is at 100 percent when you go to the Orbit Elevator:
- Lily will ask if the trio could head to Eidos 9. This unlocks a secret level. You can learn more about this in our Eidos 9 guide.
- Choosing to take Adam's hand later in the Nest leads to the Making New Memories ending (i.e. the best ending).
Note that reaching 100 percent progress with Lily doesn't mean obtaining every single collectible or document in the game. Even if you miss out on a few, you should still be able to hit the mark.
Lastly, we should warn you that going to Eidos 9/Spire 4/Orbit Elevator will lock you out of all NPC quests and collectibles in Xion. You should still be able to buy items from vendors when you return from Spire 4, but you won't be able to enter the city proper. As such, make sure you've done everything worthwhile in the city, such as collecting all beverage cans.
Point of no return: Going to the Nest
The second point of no return happens after you've completed the objectives in Spire 4/Orbit Elevator. If you talk to Lily, she'll ask if you want to trace the bike signal. Doing so takes you to the Nest, the game's final area.
Before this, all other regions should still be explorable (barring the interior of Xion). If you missed out on Eve outfits, Exospines, or bulletin board bouties like Recruiting Passcode Specialists, now would be a good time to complete everything.
Point of no return: The final confrontation and creating a backup save
The third and final point of no return is the camp inside the Nest. In fact, Eve states that it's the last camp you'll encounter. After this, you have to make a fateful decision when you speak with Adam.
As such, now is the time to create a backup save if you want to get all Stellar Blade endings. To do this, go to: Settings -> Storage -> Saved Data -> PS5 Games -> Upload to Cloud Storage. Try not to overwrite this file since you can download and use it later.
Can you get all Stellar Blade endings in a single playthrough?
Unfortunately, no, it's not possible to obtain all Stellar Blade endings in a single playthrough. That's because Cost of Lost Memories and Making New Memories are dependent on your progress with Lily. As such, here's what you need to do:
- Acquire a bunch of documents, data slates, and collectibles during your first playthrough to reach 100 percent progress with Lily. This makes it so that you unlock Eidos 9 and experience everything that the game has to offer.
- Make a backup save at the Nest:
- Don't take Adam's hand to get the Return to Colony ending.
- Load your backup save. Then, take Adam's hand this time around to get the Making New Memories ending.
- Start a New Game Plus run and breeze through the campaign (which means you're unlikely to get 100 percent progress with Lily). Take Adam's hand to get the Cost of Lost Memories ending.
New Game Plus
Regardless of the ending that you get, you will unlock New Game Plus. Here's what you need to know:
- Gold, SP, unlocked skills, outfits, Exospines, consumables, gears, data records, and more all carry over. You could practically start at the first area with beefed up abilities and stats, while wearing a teddy bear costume.
- Additional skills and upgrades become available. These include:
- New Beta skills and Burst skills.
- Drone upgrades.
- Continue to increase your weapon's strength.
- Continue to max out your HP and energy via Body Cores and Beta Cores.
- Story and quest progress are reset.
In any case, that's everything you need to know about how to get all endings in Stellar Blade. We hope you enjoy the journey, as well as its culmination.
