Apex Legends Urban Assault Collection Event - Cosmetics, Free Rewards, And Octane's Prestige Skin Set
Urban Assault Collection Event: Cosmetics, Free Rewards, & Octane's Prestige Skin
The event is sponsored by a fictional, in-universe fried chicken franchise called Chickenbique.
Apex Legends' Urban Assault Collection Event is here, introducing a new collection of 24 urban streetwear-inspired premium cosmetics to the game. Players who collect all 24 Urban Assault cosmetic items will also gain access to a Mythic-tier treat: Octane's new Apex Riptide Prestige Skin Set. The event even includes a limited-time game mode that gives players who unlock the Prestige Set a 1.5x XP boost toward their Prestige Skin evolution progress.
But like all Apex events, Urban Assault has something for everyone--including players who don't wish to spend a dime of their real-world cash. The Urban Assault reward track features a series of event-exclusive cosmetics that cannot be bought, but must instead be earned for free by completing event challenges and racking up Event Points (EP). Keep reading for a closer look at each item in the collection, and tips on how to unlock Octane's new Mythic-tier drip without breaking the bank.
As for the aforementioned free loot, Urban Assault's free reward track includes in-game currency, battle pass stars, weapon charms, holosprays, banner badges, and even an Epic-tier skin for Catalyst. Players can earn these free rewards by completing challenges from the "Event Challenges" tab located on the upper-right side of the main lobby screen. Completing each challenge rewards the player with EP, and players who earn a total of 5,000 EP will unlock every free reward available. All items included in the Urban Assault Collection Event's free reward track--and the amount of EP needed to unlock them--are listed below.
Free rewards (250 - 5,000 EP)
- 250 EP: Urban Assault universal banner badge
- 500 EP: 10 battle pass stars
- 750 EP: If Only You Could See Me universal holospray (Epic)
- 1,000 EP: 3 battle pass stars
- 1,250 EP: Downtown Devil Catalyst banner frame (Epic)
- 1,500 EP: Surprise universal holospray (Epic)
- 2,000 EP: DOC Dangerous weapon charm (Epic)
- 2,500 EP: 25 Crafting Metals
- 3,000 EP: 3 battle pass stars
- 3,500 EP: Escape Decoy weapon charm (Epic), 25 Crafting Metals
- 4,000 EP: Virtual Vigilante G7 Scout weapon skin (Epic)
- 5,000 EP: Pastel Sync Catalyst Legend skin (Epic)
In addition to all the free loot, players who complete the reward track will also earn a total of 50 Crafting Metals and 16 battle pass stars, which will instantly boost their Breakout battle pass by a little over one-and-a-half levels. It's also worth noting that the event's free cosmetics all match the color scheme of the premium Urban Assault Collection Event cosmetics, so players who don't normally complete the game's free reward tracks may wish to take part in the festivities this time around, especially if they're big fans of Catalyst or the G7 Scout.
When it comes to premium cosmetics, the 24 cosmetic items making up the Urban Assault Collection can be obtained by purchasing them directly with Apex Coins (AC), crafting them with Crafting Metals, or opening Urban Assault Event Packs. Event Packs are special Apex Packs that cost 700 AC ($7 USD) each, and are guaranteed to unlock one random item from the Inner Beast Collection, along with two items from the evergreen loot pool. All items included in the Urban Assault Collection are listed below, along with their prices.
Epic-tier items (available for 1,000 Apex Coins or 800 Crafting Metals):

- Apex Riptide Octane Prestige Skin
- High Tide Octane skydive trail
- Death Dive Octane finisher
The cheapest way to unlock Octane's evolving Prestige Skin is to use Crafting Metals to craft as many of the event's Epic-tier items as possible, then unlock the remaining cosmetics by purchasing and opening Urban Assault Event Packs for 700 AC ($7 USD) each. This will guarantee that you obtain the Octane's Prototype Heirloom Set for 16,800 AC ($168 USD) or less, depending on how many items you're able to craft before purchasing the rest. Purchasing each item directly via Apex Coins, however, will cost you 33,600 AC ($336 USD).
Keep scrolling for a closer look at every cosmetic included in both the Urban Assault Collection Event's free reward track and the event's premium cosmetic collection, along with some special goodies that will be available via the in-game store while the event is live. The Urban Assault Collection Event ends on Tuesday, May 7 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, so be sure to snag your favorite fashionable cosmetics before they disappear for good, and stay tuned for more Apex Legends news as Season 20: Breakout continues.
