All The PlayStation Plus July 2024 Games For Premium And Extra Subscribers
PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra subscribers are getting 13 new games as part of the July Game Catalog update, ranging from fun remakes to gardening with the undead. Remnant 2 and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Reunion are easily the standout titles this month, as players can experience some Souls-like action with guns or discover the hidden history of Final Fantasy 7 with those games. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and several other games will also be available starting July 16, and PSVR 2 owners can look forward to Job Simulator.
Some interesting retro games are being made available for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers as well, as they'll be able to check out a PS2 launch title and two PSP classics with several quality-of-life enhancements. As a reminder, all PS Plus subscribers can also claim this month's free games: Borderlands 3, NHL 24, and Among Us.
Here's a closer look at everything available this month, starting with a trip to a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Remnant 2 (PS5)
The first Remnant game was an enjoyable romp with some rough edges, but Remnant 2 smoothed out those issues and built on the foundation of that game to create a thrilling--and unpredictable--experience. In case you missed it, Remnant 2 is set in a world where humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction, god-like creatures rule over the land, and only a chosen few have the power to stop reality from being unmade in this action-packed Souls-like.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Reunion (PS5 and PS4)
If you're a Final Fantasy 7 fan, Crisis Core is a must-play title. This prequel to the beloved RPG was first released for the PSP in 2007, and in 2022, it got a fantastic remake. With upgraded HD graphics, voiced dialogue, and new soundtrack arrangements, the tale of Zack Fair is a blast to play, especially if you recently finished Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth from earlier this year.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord (PS5 and PS4)
Shifting from Midgar to the continent of Calradia, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord combines strategy and action-RPG gameplay to deliver a brutal Dark Ages adventure. Resistance is feudal, and as you develop your character, you'll use diplomacy, trade, and old-fashioned warfare to carve your place in history amongst the noble families of the land.
The Jackbox Party Pack 9 (PS5 and PS4)
The ninth entry in the Party Pack Franchise, The Jackbox Party Pack 9 throws new trivia and games at you and your friends to see who does know Jack. You don't need extra controllers for this title, as anyone playing can whip out their smartphone or tablet to join in for a few rounds of competitive brain-teasers.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (PS5 and PS4)
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a fun fantasy-RPG from the Moscow-based studio Owlcat Games. A D&D-inspired CRPG, Wrath of the Righteous is an isometric RPG that caters to anyone looking to have an adventurous campaign.
No More Heroes 3 (PS5 and PS4)
There's no sugarcoating the fact that No More Heroes 3 is a really divisive game in the NMH series. It has a dull open-world and surprisingly deep combat, a tedious story and inventive boss battles. Consider yourselves warned if you decide to check out this threequel starring Travis Touchdown as he aims to kill his way to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition (PS4)
While No More Heroes 3 might be disappointing to longtime NMH fans, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition is a weird and wild hack-and-slash game that is played from a top-down perspective. This version includes a ton of extra content, including the Black Dandelion and Bubblegum Fatale DLC packs.
Deadcraft (PS4)
A zombie-themed survival-action game, Deadcraft puts you in the necrotic boots of Reid, a half-zombie who has the ability to grow his own undead army. When he's not putting his grossly green thumb to good use, Reid can also take on the undead with anything he can get his hands on as he attempts to survive the zombie apocalypse.
Steep (PS4)
Before Ubisoft went extreme with Rider's Republic, it was experimenting with a tour across the Alps in the form of Steep. All the fun of winter sports on a grand scale, you can explore these mountains solo or with friends as you compete with skis, wingsuits, snowboards, and paragliders.
Job Simulator (PSVR 2)
In a world where robots have replaced all human jobs, it's up to you to relive the golden age of a 9-5 career. As a curious robot looking to experience the daily grind, you'll be able to try your mechanical hand at being a gourmet chef, an office worker, a convenience store clerk, and more in this virtual reality game.
Summoner (PlayStation Premium Classics)
The first of three PlayStation classics being added this month, Summoner was originally released as a PS2 launch title. Developed by now-defunct studio Volition, Summoner puts you in the boots of Joseph as he learns to harness his powers and fulfill an ancient prophecy.
Ratchet and Clank Size Matters (PlayStation Premium Classics)
Set inside of the mysterious Technomite universe, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters is a weird adventure starring the PlayStation duo. Originally released for the PSP, this version has been enhanced with uprendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.
Jeanne d'Arc (PlayStation Premium Classics)
The final classic game arriving this month--and another PSP port--Jeanne d'Arc is set during the brutal Hundred Years War of the 15th century. As a young crusader named Jeanne, it's up to you to turn back an invading army and save her homeland once and for all. Like the other PSP games in the Classics library, this one has been upgraded with some convenient quality-of-life enhancements.
