WWE Superstar Seth Rollins compares Kansas City Chiefs to John Cena

The public criticism and hate circulated the Kansas City Chiefs’ bid for a three-peat last season became national news. Alleged favoritism from game officials to the team’s polarizing star players was always a topic of discussion that has carried over into the wrestling world.

During a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, a well-noted Chicago Bears fan, discussed who in the WWE was comparable to Kansas City’s dynasty and being labeled villains because of the consistent success.

“John Cena is the perfect example. He’s a guy who recently turned heel for the first time in a long time, but John is the perfect example,” said Rollins. “He would win so much that they would just boo him. ‘We want Cena.’ ‘Cena sucks”

The Chiefs are no strangers to the WWE. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes got involved during an episode of Monday Night RAW in Kansas City last year. His Pro Bowl offensive linemen Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith joined him. Smith was honored at WrestleMania XL for his help during the Chiefs parade shooting.
