Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Manchester United misfit Jadon Sancho, as per reports.
High-profile United loanees like Marcus Rashford and Antony are enjoying brilliant stints away from Old Trafford.
However, Sancho continues to struggle to turn his fortunes around at Stamford Bridge. The 25-year-old has managed just two goals in 30 appearances since joining Chelsea on loan last summer.
The Englishman is on a 19-game goal drought in all competitions and his dire form is starting to raise question marks over his future with the Blues. The situation has also sparked interest from the West Midlands.
Wolves interested in Manchester United flop Jadon Sancho
Chelsea signed Sancho in a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy. However, it is suggested that the London outfit are considering a €6 million payment to escape the clause. The development has increased the likelihood of a permanent move elsewhere.
According to FootballTransfers, Wolves have expressed “serious interest” in signing Sancho.
Vítor Pereira’s side are bracing themselves for Matheus Cunha’s exit. The Brazilian, their talisman, has been one of the best attackers in the Premier League over the last 18 months.
A number of clubs, including United, are keen on Cunha, who is expected to leave Molineux this summer.
Wolves consider Sancho as a valuable addition to strengthen their attacking lineup.
The left-winger is admired at the club and there’s a feeling he has the potential to thrive in the right environment.
With Chelsea considering their options and United having no plans to re-include Sancho in their first-team plans, Wolves have emerged as a “serious contender” to secure his signature this summer.
It is suggested that Wolves believe they can sign Sancho for a reasonable fee.
