Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl is not concerned about speculation on his future at the Bundesliga club after modest results lately.
Wolfsburg are ninth in the league and have won just two of their last 11 matches and visit Union Berlin on Sunday.
Managing director for sport Peter Christiansen did not back Austrian Hasenhüttl to stay beyond the season after a 1-0 home defeat against lowly Heidenheim. Hasenhüttl's contract is until 2026.
Asked about a possible meeting with Christiansen, Hasenhüttl told reporters on Friday: "Why should I talk about my future with him? I have a contract here for the next year.
"If that wasn't the case it would be a good idea to talk with him. That aside I don't see a reason why I should do that. We have other issues which are a little more important," Hasenhüttl said.
"I have been in the business for too long that this would affrect me in any way."
Wolfsburg can still qualify for Europe despite their latest setbacks but now also face a crisis in defence which will likely lead a pair of centre backs in Berlin who have never played in the Bundesliga before.
Konstantinos Koulierakis, Denis Vavro and Mathys Angely are injured, and Sebastiaan Bornauw also not fully fit.
That leaves only under-17 World Cup winner David Odogu from the first team squad. Odogu is set to make his Bundesliga debut in Berlin along with a not yet named defender from Wolfsburg's U19 team.
"Four of five centre backs are gone. David is more or less set for this game. If I wouldn't trust him to perform he wouldn't be in the squad. He had to wait for his opportunity for a long time," Hasenhüttl said.
"Unfortunately it will be an opportunity with possibly someone next to him who has played as many games than him."
