LSU women's basketball is off to the Sweet 16, where the Tigers will face NC State. The two should be familiar after meeting in November.

LSU got the best of NC State in the first meeting, winning 82-65. LSU was led by Mikaylah Williams, who scored 24 points and knocked down four three-pointers. Aneesah Morrow scored 20 while Flau'Jae Johnson scored 16.

It was an impressive win for an NC State team that ranked No. 20 nationally at the time. NC State would go on to be one of the best teams in the country, earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

LSU's defense showed up in the first meeting with NC State shooting 35.9% from the field. LSU held a massive advantage in the rebounding department, out rebounding the Wolfpack 44 to 24.

Kim Mulkey and company will look to continue the momentum established in the second half vs. Florida State. LSU's round two win was highlighted by a dominant third-quarter. LSU scored over 100 points in its first and second round games.
