Where will Myles Rice transfer? Former Indiana basketball player going to Big Ten rival

Myles Rice keeps moving east.

The former Indiana basketball guard announced his commitment to Maryland and new coach Buzz Williams on Sunday.

Rice, who played his freshman season at Washington State, started 25 of his 32 appearances for IU this season, averaging 10.1 points, 2.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals, and making 32.5% of his 3-pointers.

"I'm just a guy that's going to do whatever it takes to win," Rice said after a season-ending loss to Oregon in the Big Ten Tournament.

Williams, who coached Texas A&M the past six seasons, was named Maryland coach in the wake of the contentious departure of former coach Kevin Willard to Villanova. Williams has led Marquette, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M to the NCAA tournament.
