Lady Vols basketball is well-represented at the 2025 McDonald's All-American game.
Tennessee signees Mia Pauldo, Deniya Prawl and Jaida Civil were three of the 24 players selected for the 48th McDonald's All-American games, which will be played Tuesday (6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2) at the Barclays Center in New York.
All three are on the East Team, and Pauldo was confident during Monday's media availability they would get the wins. Pauldo, who's ranked No. 11 in the 2025 class, said they all have the tenacity to play at the next level.
"The mindset we have is always to step on the court and win," she said. "We all believe that any time we step on the court we’re the best players out there. I feel that’s what Tennessee represents."
The five-star point guard said they will be bringing strong defense to the Lady Vols, a necessity in Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell's style of pressing for 40 minutes.
"We’re the top players in the country," Pauldo said. "If we’re able to defend each other, we’re able to defend any other person in the country. I feel like that alone is what Tennessee is all about."
Pauldo, Prawl and Civil are joined by Mia's twin sister, Mya, and Lauren Hurst in Tennessee's 2025 class. Caldwell's first high school class is ranked No. 2 in the nation.
Civil, a 6-foot guard, said she's looking forward to playing with Pauldo and Prawl at Tennessee. The four-star prospect is ranked No. 32 in the 2025 class out of Palm Bay Magnet High in Melbourne, Florida.
"We have different playing styles, but we’re all dogs," Civil said. "That’s what, really, it’s going to come down to."
