What changes did the Orioles make to Camden Yards' left-field wall?

It's been three years since the Baltimore Orioles decided to change the dimensions for Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and yet another change is coming for the 2025 season.

Back in 2022, the Orioles decided to move back the left-field wall by 26.5 feet and raise the fence height by six feet. The result was a hilariously rough situation for power hitters (particularly for lefties) that ended up being dubbed, "Walltimore."

The pushed-back wall threw off the overall aesthetic of that outfield. And while the Orioles made necessary changes to the wall this past offseason, they didn't return it back to the original dimensions.

The fence is still awkwardly angular as the 363-marker jets out into the left-center warning track. But instead of needing to clear 384 or 398 (depending on where a ball to left was hit), the deepest part of the crevice will be 374 feet.

The wall height is also being dropped from a silly 13 feet to a more manageable max height of eight feet.

Hitters will certainly appreciate the changes, but that entire area would have looked so much better with seats added as opposed to metal railings and platforms.

We'll see how it affects home runs this year.
