Warriors bounce-back for impressive 104-93 win over Bucks without Steph Curry
Coming off an underwhelming loss to the shorthanded Denver Nuggets, things didn't get any easier for the Golden State Warriors as Steph Curry was ruled out for the second leg of a back-to-back on Tuesday against Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks.
With the star point guard resting, the Warriors needed someone to step up to secure a much-needed bounce-back victory as the postseason race tightens. On Tuesday evening, Jimmy Butler answered the bell. The veteran wing helped lift the shorthanded Warriors past the Bucks in impressive fashion.
Butler tallied a game-high 24 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field with 10 assists and eight rebounds in 37 minutes. Butler got to the free throw line 11 times and knocked down all 11 of his free throw attempts.
While Butler helped fuel the offense, Draymond Green shined defensively. Green helped limit Antetokounmpo to 20 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the field in 39 minutes. According to NBC Sports Bay Area, Green guarded Antetokounmpo for seven minutes and held him to 0-of-6 shooting from the field.

Although Green only scored three points, the veteran forward added 10 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals in 36 minutes.
After missing multiple games with a back injury, Brandin Podziemski returned to the starting lineup on Tuesday. In his return to the court, the second-year guard picked up right where he left off, scoring 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field with four made 3-pointers to go along with seven rebounds in 29 minutes.
The Warriors will now get Wednesday off before welcoming the Toronto Raptors to Chase Center for the final contest of their seven-game homestand in San Francisco.
