Brown University forward Tyler Kopff has signed a two-year entry-level deal with the Buffalo Sabres, it was announced Tuesday.

Having recently wrapped up his sophomore season at Brown, Kopff put together nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points in 32 games this year. Across two NCAA seasons, the Ridgewood, N.J., native scored 15 goals and added 31 assists for 46 points in 62 games.

Before heading to Brown, Kopff played his minor hockey for the North Jersey Avalanche as well as two seasons in the BCHL with the Coquitlam Express.

With Kopff leaving the Bears to turn pro, he is a nice addition to the Sabres' prospect system. Having gotten better each season since heading to the NCAA, Kopff will have the opportunity to acclimate himself with the Rochester Americans before potentially pushing for a spot with the Sabres next year.
