At the NFL league meetings on Tuesday, a few rules changes were passed, according to Ian Rapoport.
One is that the postseason overtime rules will now be coming to the regular season, which allows each team an opportunity to possess the ball. Overtime will remain at 10 minutes.
Previously, in the regular season, during overtime, if the team that possessed the ball first scored a touchdown, the game was over. If that team scored a field goal, the opponent had the opportunity to match or win the game outright with a touchdown.
The second rule that passed was expanding replay assist, which as Tom Pelissero noted, only applies to "objective elements of fouls called on the field."

Going beyond these two changes, all eyes will be on whether or not the tush push is banned. The specific proposal from the Green Bay Packers, according to ESPN, wants to "prohibit an offensive player from pushing a teammate who was lined up directly behind the snapper and receives the snap, immediately at the snap."
Both GM Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen voiced their support of keeping the play.
