TV, schedule and preview for No. 6 Georgia vs. No. 1 Arkansas baseball

The sixth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs baseball (USA TODAY poll) team plays the top-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks in the Bulldogs' most important home series yet.

Georgia (30-5, 8-4 SEC) got swept in its last SEC series against the No. 2 Texas Longhorns. Arkansas (31-3, 11-1) is coming off a 7-3 home win over Arkansas State. The Razorbacks have won 11 straight SEC games.

Georgia's three-game series against Arkansas runs from Friday (April 11) to Sunday (April 13). The Georgia-Arkansas series will be carried by SEC Network+. It is Georgia's second consecutive series against a top five opponent.

Georgia baseball leads the country with 92 home runs, but is coming off a quiet series against Texas. The Dawgs will look to get back on track against Arkansas.

  • Saturday, April 12 at 4 p.m. ET
  • Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. ET

Georgia's game on Saturday takes place shortly after the UGA football spring game (1:00 p.m. ET).

"I thought we did a good job from the jump," said Georgia baseball manager Wes Johnson after UGA's 16-2 win over Presbyterian on Tuesday. "I challenged our guys to not chase, to have a two-strike approach."

"They had a little sneaky fastball at the top of the zone that got us a couple of times, but other than that I thought we did a really good job of getting back to our approach, getting back to not chasing and slowing the game down."

Arkansas has one of the best pitching staffs in the country (No. 10 ERA in the nation at 3.52), so Georgia will need to play well if the Dawgs want to take a critical SEC series.
