Tuttosport: Paratici spotted in Milan but Furlani has more interviews scheduled

The big story of yesterday afternoon was the sighting of Fabio Paratici in Milan, fuelling the rumours about him potentially becoming the next sporting director of AC Milan.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes this morning, Paratici was spotted at Palazzo Parigi which, since his time at Juventus, has been his headquarters. A meeting with Giorgio Furlani had already taken place previously, and the CEO was not present yesterday, as he confirmed.

Paratici, whose suspension will end in June, is ready to return after his experiences with Juventus and Tottenham (who do not seem to be willing to contact him again). The Italian is the number one candidate on Furlani’s list for the vacant role of Milan sporting director.

The CEO has already had the opportunity to meet Paratici during the break and get an idea of his profile. The choice is not imminent and at the moment we can only make suppositions. One of these is on the profile of the coach who could land at Milan if Paratici were to be chosen.

Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri are said to be in pole position, but also Roberto De Zerbi – whose agent met yesterday for lunch with Paratici – is a name that could well be considered. As mentioned, however, Furlani’s choice is not imminent.

His plan is to thoroughly evaluate all the profiles on his table. After Paratici, in fact, at least two more interviews are planned in the next few days: one with Igli Tare – who has been out for a couple of years after 15 seasons with Lazio – and the other is Tony D’Amico of Atalanta.

Some foreign names have also been highlighted, especially German ones, but at the moment they appear to be second-rate candidates compared to the three from the Italian school. At this moment Furlani is taking all the time he needs, also to avoid creating an atmosphere of excessive chatter.
