The Toronto Sceptres have placed rookie netminder Raygan Kirk on long term injured reserve retroactive to March 30. The move will make her eligible to return, if healthy, just prior to the re-start of the PWHL's season following the international break.
Kirk suffered the lower-body injury during the third period of Toronto's game against the Minnesota Frost.
The 24-year-old Manitoba product has played 10 games this season for the Toornto Sceptres posting a .917 save percentage while posting a 5-1-1-1 record.
To fill their void in net, which currently includes Kirsten Campebll being overseas for the IIHF World Championships, Toronto signed goaltender Kassidy Sauvé to a standard player agreement. Sauvé was one of the best netminders this season in the SDHL posting a .940 save percentage with SDH HF.
Sauvé previously played in the PHF and PWHPA. Prior to her NCAA career with Clarkson and Ohio State, Sauvé won gold as a member of Canada's U-18 national team at the U-18 World Championships.
