After two straight losses, Tim Tszyu returns to the ring this weekend looking to work his way back into title contention against Michigan native Joey Spencer.
Tszyu is the former WBO champion at junior middleweight, but his title reign was short lived as he fell to Sebastian Fundora by split decision last March in the second defense of his world title. He was given a title shot immediately after the defeat, taking on IBF champion Bakhram Murtazaliev last October, suffering a second straight defeat after being stopped in the third round.
Now Tszyu begins down the path toward becoming a two-time world champion against Spencer, a former PBC prospect of the year who has won three straight fights since his first career defeat in 2023. It's the stiffest test of the 25-year-old Spencer's career, as he travels to Tszyu's home country of Australia for his first non-U.S. bout.
Ahead of fight night, here's when Tim Tszyu and Joey Spencer are expected to enter the ring.
