The Texas Tech basketball team has officially entered the offseason and will now start assembling the 2025-26 Red Raiders mostly through the transfer portal, which opened March 24.
The Red Raiders wrapped up the second season under head coach Grant McCasland with a 28-9 overall record, going 15-5 in Big 12 Conference play to finish second in the league standings and advanced to the Elite Eight for just the third time in program history.
Texas Tech could bring back some of the best players from the 2024-25 season but several key figures like Chance McMillian and Elijah Hawkins have exhausted their eligibility. Others like Big 12 player of the year JT Toppin and March Madness hero Darrion Williams have to consider their professional options, such as declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft and seeing what happens.
Here's what to know about the 2025 transfer portal cycle for the Texas Tech basketball team.
This page will be continuously updated as new information becomes available, so keep it bookmarked throughout the offseason.
