Texas football 2026 QB commit Dia Bell earns invitation to Elite 11 Final
The Elite 11 regional in Austin featured some of the best passers from Texas and the surrounding area. However, only two of the quarterbacks who competed Saturday were invited to the Elite 11 Final.
Dia Bell, a 2026 Texas football recruit from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was the first quarterback invited at the end of drills. Bell is the son of former NBA player Raja Bell and committed to the Longhorns last summer. The rising senior threw for 2,597 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions last season and looked sharp despite windy conditions.

Bell, the No. 3-ranked quarterback according to 247Sports composite, recently reaffirmed his commitment to Texas in an interview with On3's Steve Wiltfong. According to Bell, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian's history working with quarterbacks such as Jalen Hurts, Quinn Ewers and Bryce Young played a big part in his decision to join the program.
"I always love how he did things with his quarterbacks in the past, when he was Alabama as well," Bell said. "He's always had great accomplishments with them ... They have a long history of quarterbacks, and I felt like I could be the next one."
Keisean Henderson was the other quarterback invited, though the 2026 Houston commit's position can be fluid. The No. 1 rated player in Texas according to 247Sports, Henderson had been listed as an athlete until recently. He's now the fifth-ranked quarterback in the nation, though he looked like the most athletic player on the field regardless of position. Despite his background as a skill position player, Henderson had smooth footwork during drills and plenty of zip on his throws.
