The Pittsburgh Steelers are truly doing their pre-draft due diligence on the running back class of the 2025 NFL Draft—as it was reported that Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson met with the team as a top-30 visit on Tuesday.
During his four years at Ohio State, Henderson rushed for 3,761 yards and 42 TDs on 590 attempts—an impressive 6.4 yards per carry. He also assisted the Buckeyes through receiving—racking up 77 receptions for 853 yards and 6 TDs.
His stellar collegiate career, which kicked off with an impressive Big Ten conference-leading 6.8 YPC in 2021 and ended with a more immaculate 7.1 YPC in 2024, is why he is considered one of the top running backs in this year's draft class.
A former five-star recruit and number one overall running back coming out of high school, Henderson is no stranger to pressure and exceeding expectations.
Henderson also visited the Pittsburgh Steelers along with fellow RB prospect Central Florida's RJ Harvey—further proving that the Black and Gold are set on replacing Najee Harris in this year's draft.
Although the Ohio State Buckeye is considered to be drafted in the second round, where the Pittsburgh Steelers currently lack a draft pick, Henderson could make his way into the Steel City if the team decides to trade back from the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
