Monday baseball highlights: Fairless rallies, stays unbeaten
FAIRLESS 6, MANCHESTER 5: The Falcons scored two runs in the fourth and fifth innings to rally past the Panthers and improve to 4-0. Lucas Peters doubled and drove in two runs for Fairless.
TUSLAW 12, CANTON SOUTH 1: The Mustangs broke open the game with an 11-run fourth inning in their win over the Wildcats. Tyler Simons drove in two runs for Tuslaw. Cam Stevens and Landon Gannet each had two hits and an RBI.
LAKE CENTER 12, KIDRON CENTRAL 0: Brayden Myers threw a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 14 in the Tigers’ win. Lake Center’s Luke Heckert went 3-for-4 with two triples and three runs scored. Colton Smilek went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
EAST CANTON 12, TUSKY CENTRAL CATHOLIC 0: Braylon Jute fired a five-inning no-hitter and struck out seven in the Hornets’ win over the Saints. Colby Schrader drove in three runs and Jacob Miller had two hits and two RBIs for East Canton.
Monday softball highlights: Lake's Gianna Greathouse shuts out Louisville
LAKE 5, LOUISVILLE 0: Gianna Greathouse threw a five-hitter and struck out 11 as the Blue Streaks shut out the Leopards. Olivia Brown and Aubrey Eisele had three hits apiece for Lake.
TUSLAW 10, CANTON SOUTH 7: Freshman Hadley Porter homered, doubled and drove in two runs for the Mustangs in their PAC-7 win over the Wildcats. Ellianna Collins went 2-for-4 for a triple and two RBIs to lead Canton South. Tuslaw scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to break a 5-5 tie.
