South Bay Lakers recap: One more big game from Quincy Olivari

The South Bay Lakers' final game of this season came on Saturday against the Iowa Wolves, a team they defeated 127-123 on Friday. This time, they wouldn't be as successful.

They led after one quarter by a score of 37-26, but after that, it was all Iowa. The Wolves outscored South Bay 43-27 in the second quarter and didn't let up, as they scored 70 points in the second half and seemingly couldn't miss. South Bay fell by a final score of 139-128 to end its season on a sour note.

Quincy Olivari, however, was one man who ended his season on a positive note. The undrafted rookie guard scored 31 points and went 6-of-13 from 3-point range while adding eight assists and four steals. Off the bench, DaJuan Gordon put in 22 points, and Joirdon Nicholas made nine of 10 shot attempts to score 20 points.

For Iowa, Trevor Keels, a guard who was taken in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft, led everyone with 34 points and shot 13-of-23 from the field. Forward Leonard Miller added 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting, and big man Jesse Edwards contributed 22 points and 13 rebounds.
