McIlroy sealed his first-ever win at the Masters Tournament with a putt in a sudden-death playoff against Justin Rose to complete his career Grand Slam. For his victory, Mcllroy will earn $4.2 million in purse money.
He bounced back from bogeying his 18th hole and forcing a playoff with Justin Rose to birdie the sudden-death Par 4 hole to win his first ever Masters. After McIlroy sank the clinching putt, he got emotional, as expected, for the elusive victory.
