AC Milan have reached a verbal agreement with Fabio Paratici which will see him become the new sporting director, if all goes to plan from here.
According to Sky, after yesterday’s meeting in London, Milan have reached the basis of an agreement with Paratici over the vacant position. The talks were positive between the parties, and a handshake was reached in the last few hours.
Now the ball is in the lawyers’ courts, who will have to prepare the contract. It will take some time because there are some important clauses to insert, the details of which have not yet emerged but should over time.
The bottom line is that Milan has chosen Paratici and Paratici has chosen Milan. The final agreement on everything has been found but the official announcement may not arrive soon. However, the parties will start working right away, and this is the most important thing.
Now, it will be interesting to see what wheels are put in motion and how quickly. For example, while waiting for the end of the 2024-25 season on the field, there is a lot of talk about the head coach position and who might replace Sergio Conceicao. Paratici will almost certainly start making calls.
