San Jose Sharks defenseman Vincent Desharnais will miss at least the weekend games due to an upper-body injury.

Jimmy Schuldt was recalled in his place and will play in his spot with Luca Cagnoni

There is no timeline for Desharnais' return, but the extent of the injury sounds concerning.

"He played through it. Got to give him a lot of credit. He played through a pretty tough injury," Warsofsky said after Friday's practice.

Since joining San Jose, Desharnais has averaged 17:49 of ice time a game. His play time significantly dropped on Thursday as he played just 13:18.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic has returned to the ice and is an option to play for the Sharks against the Los Angeles Kings tomorrow night.
